Haha, but I do think it's cute how majoho seems to have labeled me his arch-nemesis.

And, hey, maybe it's helping. I made a thread on bots and several weeks later almost 4,000 were banned. I made a thread on the lack of CR communication and a week later they start posting here again.

I'm not taking credit for those things, but maybe I'm at least...pseudo-helping draw attention to things. And, honestly, I don't really see where I've complained about this update other than them messing up the map rotation, which I hope any sane person would think is a little fck'd up.

Sharing divergent opinions on things is trolling to people who have never truly been trolled.

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult.

I'm going to innocently accept it as a compliment. Thanks!

However...I think this is becoming....off-topic at best. Although, it would be hard not to get off-topic, considering that nothing really happened....and we're trying to discuss the "nothing".

Like I said, they can't let GvG flat out die more than it already has if they want to retain most of the competitive population. It's credibility for gw2 rather than the current gw population's needs.

edit: adding on, I think it's much harder to keep a game competitive and balanced than it is to provide fun PvE, which is already relative to begin with.

There is a difference between checking in and being a colossal drag on the whole community.

Those who mAT aren't the entire PvP playbase.

Anet's made it clear they want to keep at least some competitive play going in this game, as Tearz1993 has put so well.

I think those that genuinely feel PvP getting updates seriously detracts from their own game are a very small number, and considering nearly everything seems to be done by the TK i doubt it even detracts much from the PvE work.

I don't know why we keep referring to this update as if it was a PvP specific update that took time and effort that pulled away resources from a PvE update.

Let's be honest, it wasn't. The map rotation and trophy take probably 5 minutes to do - max. Assuming that any more time was given to it is just ridiculous.

And, to be perfectly honest again, a lot of PvP'ers are worried about competitive play in GW2 and with good reason. Anet has obviously learned that PvE players are where the money's at, and designed a new game with an 80 level cap and all kinds of creative PvE stuff, but we haven't heard one single word about PvP yet.

PvP isn't going to be a large focus of GW2, and the competitive players of GW1 know that. That is, of course, unless you consider brawling mini games as PvP.

It'll happen when it happens.
Until then, just be quiet and play (and no...playing and arguing on Riverside Inn does not count)

Personally i'm more intrigued than worried, as it's clearly going to be a very different game to the current GW. Be interesting to see how things work out without the devoted heal class, but then arguably the monk in gw isn't a devoted heal class.

Actually I first came to GwG in 2006, when I started playing. Still, it doesn't take 3 years to spot the people who make a place miserable.

QFT. Personally, there is no credibility left at this point so anything they do is just a free update in my book. They aren't getting more of my money, period.

And I know many people that have moved on and feel similarly. Many people who moved on from GW are not going to be coming back because of situations such as the current one. Anet's past shenanigans with GW1 aren't going to suddenly disappear with GW2. Those in this thread defending Anet need to pull their heads out of the darkness and accept this despite their fanboi obsession.

Now I will go back to playing SC2 and waiting for D3!

So wait, when someone makes a legitimate concern (albeit rather rudely) Anet CR gets a pass on addressing it?

Then again, there isn't much more they can say other than "it would take too many resources from GW2," right?
